I am Mike, just bought a mini.
Going to start the grand adventure....
I am trying to locate the information on my mini if you could assist.

What part of Alberton are you from?
I'm close to the Mall of the South - Behind the shooting range (Brackendowns).
That's an 1100 motor (1098cc)
And that looks like a clubby chassis tag (late 70s I think but stand to be corrected)

it is a 1098 , but either a sunshine or a moonlight.
A mini special it is.

I think the best person to answer your question will be Ryno Verster.
He wrote the book on the history of mini's in south africa.
He keep a register so maybe he has your number and he will be able to tell you exactly is your car.
