ungine bay starter - jimmyjamjar - 08-09-2017 Greeting Miniacs!! I always used to start the car from inside the engine bay when working on the car by bridging the terminals on the starter solonoid using insulated pliers but i was thinking a start button would be a better idea. Has anyone done this I know there is a solonoid with start button incorporated but they are pricey. How do you do this. I bought a push starter unit that has two terminals with screw down fixing for a bracket, can I just wire the two terminals to the solonoid terminals? As I stated previously I am very good at frying car wiring and don't want to jigger the solonoid. Any ideas or advice welcome RE: ungine bay starter - Boyscout - 08-15-2017 The earlier Minis had a solenoid with a push button like this http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/Electrics/Starters/BMK1727.aspx?0911&ReturnUrl=/product/Classic/13H5952.aspx|Back%20to |
