I'm back from a Maxima to a Mini
#1
H,i there miniacs I have returned after a hibernation of some years . The restoration of "Jemima Puddleduck" my 1275  1982 clubby was on hold while I attended to other things. I did some sporadic work every few months but things have changed as I had an accident to my daily use car a few weeks ago and the jolly fellows at the insurance said as it was 23 years old and bla bla bla etc etc, that they were scrapping the car which has now forced me to complete the mini project. As I progress from the current bare shell I will be asking advice on stuff as even with Heyne's book of lies and the other workshop manuals I am sure I will run into many questions of how to return all the bits to the body . Fortunately I have plenty spares as i used to own three minis and when i scrapped two of them i stripped all the stuff off them which now resides in a wendy house in the yard . so watch this space for cries of help......

Welcome Jimmy. Sorry to hear about what happened to your daily. At least the accident wasn't in the mini and now you can get that rebuilt/restored. What are your plans for your 1275 E and do you have any photos? It would be nice if you started a build thread for it too Smile

Hey Neville, yeah it's a great idea. A progress diary is a nice way for your fellow Mini enthusiasts to follow your build and it's a nice place to keep all the ideas and thoughts on the build together.
