Local Mini Chat - Introductions
#1
Introduction

Hello,

I am Matt, I am from the UK, in fact I lived just a 5 minute walk from the former Mini birthplace the Longbridge factory.

I drive a 1990 Mini City E, I have been on the road for around 18 months, and have loved every minute of it!
So far I have done nearly 20,000 miles in my little car, and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon!

I joined a Mini club last year, and often go out on drives, and shows together. This family-like community got me thinking....

Background

In the past year I have been working on a website that aims to bring Mini Owners from around the world together. This website aims to be a sort of Global Magazine that anyone can access and see what other people with similars interests are doing.

We are always looking to add new people to the site from different parts of the world, if you are part of a Club, and would be interested in telling others aound the world your storey, in monthly updates, then get in touch!

App Developement

I have recently began working on an app for Android and iPhone, that will allow you to find other Mini owners/app users in your local area.

This works in a similar way to Tinder in the sense you can see that they are "10 miles" away but can not tell where they actually are.

I have now setup a Kickstarter campaign to help gain the funds necessary to develop the app further!

We are now running a competition on the Kickstarter, anyone who pledges £5 or more will be entered in to a prize draw for a Voucher worth £75!

You can also now donate to the fund via PayPal using the link below:

It would be great if you could share the links around to people, and help give my project a chance to prove it can be worthwile!
