aircon
#1
has anybody fitted an aircon to their mini? I once investigated the fitting of one of those "cool runnings" units  which were not too expensive at the time.

In the past (5 years) ago or there about, you could buy a SPi (Single Point Injection) JAP market front cut that was factory fitted with an aircon.

The problem is the aircon controls and the wiring loom naturally being totally different in almost every way to a SA built car.

I have too looked at what is needed to fit such a system to a car. I had bought a SPi engine that came with the aircon pump, but only that. You will still need the condensor the hoses and even the vents and controls for the car.

Currently I know of a MOCSA member that has a Jap Spec SPi that is running an aircon.
Own some minis, break them, fix them, improve them, test them to the limit....
