Unfortunately the motor needs to come out as you'll need to remove both crown wheel and pinion to do the conversion and there are lock tabs that need to be knocked flat in order to undo the bolts holding them in.
Both of these are based on the common use of 13" Rims fitted with 175/50/13 tyres...
