It would cost approximately R 140 000. Here is the response that I received from Antony English from Freedom Won:
"Yes we can convert a classic Mini. If you only need 20km actual mission distance then I suggest a range target of about 60km to give you some flexibility. If you have the budget I suggest 100km range because this will give you more uses for the car. That's up to you. We would install a 40kW peak motor system so it will go very well. Cheaper options are available with less power but the saving would not be huge. So for 60km range you would have a 10kWh battery.
The cost of the conversion would be about R140 000 excl VAT.
The Mini would need to be in good condition because we don’t take on donor cars that have issues as it only causes headaches for us. The is excludes the motor of course, we don’t care what condition that is in.
