Thanks Tim. Being "mechanically inclined" and not "electrically inclined"   How would I do this? At the electrical posts on the alternator? And what voltage should I be seeing?

Electrical posts on the battery would work as well. Has to be while the car is running though.

You should see anything around 13.5/14v

I want to at least get her through roadworthy . . . Hopefully.

Does that mean we going to be able to turn the key at some point this year and hear the sweet exhaust note?
