Your mini and the weekend
#21
Did work on the mini actually hey Smile

Did some work on the carb, fitted the correct throttle cable pin and fitted a new choke fast idle screw as the other one had stripped. Then fitted a metal air filter box and gave the whole car a good wash and detail Smile

Sunday there was no work done on the mini as we went on a mini run with the club.

Saturdays are booked mini days although it doesn't always work out like that it seems. For me at least.

So the plan for today is to try and get everything else on the mini done besides the motor so that i can put the motor in at the last thing given the amount of grey hairs it has given me.

Hoping to finish restoring the grille for the GT - cleaning and polishing 40+ year old metal and paint is time consuming.

Did a few laps on Saturday and due to an oil leak the engine was taken out on Saturday afternoon. Today the engine will be reassembled. Hope to be ready for next Saturday's race.

This weekend the Mini got the new EFI tuned...
After the tuning I get 148wkw and 248NM @0.4 boost on the wheels...

Not bad for a stock turbo and stock 13B Rotary..

Next on the list is the locks and other smaller items as well as repairing the door and respray..

I restored a grille badge and took some bits off the 1380's engine.

My plan for the weekend....were do I start....

I think I'm going to install all the new brake pipes and get the brake bleeding out the way.

Then its on to starting the car up and getting the Side Draught set-up.

and if there is time ...try and get the car to a wheel alignment shop to get the camber/ toe and castor set-up due to the new geometry kit that has been fitted.
