Definitely the 649, but maybe I should try my 40 DCOE instead of the Hif44 SU?

I think you have a good deal on that HIF44 on Facebook last night.

I would grab it, as the alloy manifold is worth R1500 new by itself.

I'm no camshaft expert, but what I've heard long duration cams like the 649 (300 degree) cams are not well suited to altitude and perform better at the coast. Maybe you should chat to a few mini experts or mini racers in Jhb to advise you on cam shafts. I know of some very quick race minis in Jhb that use cams with less duration than the 649. Btw what compression ratio you running? I would think a 649 would require a very high compression to get the most out of it.

Hi Dion, I've seen a Mini over the weekend with a 649 in Jo'Burg and it went very well. My compression ratio will be 10:1:1
