New Mini owner . . . .
#1
Good day

I've recently took over a project mini that someone lost interest in.

Now it is time to give the required TLC........

Can anyone maybe assist me, looking to find out more or less the year model and engine type.
I can't find any chassis number as yet.

Engin number is 12H7 05 E-H5664

Thanks

Looks like a good project. I think the 1275 E was 12HEH, but I thought they were stamped into the block and not riveted on.

Welcome to the group.
Some more info needed for identification.
on the flat cover of the windscreen wiper motor, see what the last 2 digits are where it states 12V .. XX (XX denotes year)

Welcome.

Car doesn't look like it needs a lot of TLC.

Ok. Seems like this is a 1972 model.

I've been under and in and around the car, can't find any chassis number.
The id plate in the engine bay was removed at some stage......

its running 1275E brake master though, so that means a plus 1980 model

Just check the date stamp on the boot lid lock. That will also give you an indication aswel. if the boot lock and wiper motor are more or less the same then it can be 72 model and someone changed the brake mater to a later type one.

What type of tail lights do you have??? 2 colors or 3 colors(one with the reverse light in it)

Date stamp on the boot lid lock is " 37 80 "

Tail lights are 3 colours.

Seems to be a bit of a mix match of parts.
You can also look under the passenger side seat for a body plate.U
