Good Morning All
I am a newbie to the brand , I always wanted to own a little Mini so now there might be an opportunity for me to buy a little Bull nose
which is in pieces as a project so please bare with me as a lot of questions is coming and due to the fact that I might squeeze in a 16v motor like some guys have done.

Welcome Blade.
You are more than welcome to ask as many questions as you like. Some of the guys on here have a vast amount of knowledge.
PS. Stick with the mini engine, you'll be happier.

The car comes with a stripped 1275e motor so my thought was just to get something that makes a little bit more power, I want to build something fun to play around with on weekends

You can get very decent power out an A series and it will still remain a mini.
If you start putting bigger and heavier motors in then some of the mini handling gets lost.
However it is your car so the direction you ultimately choose is up to you.

So maybe an other option would be to rebuild that 1275 with all the right parts and turbo it?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mini ownership. Get a copy of David Vizard's book on tuning the A series engine if you want to make your motor really hot even to the point of going with nitrous oxide boosting!

You can get good power out of a NA 1275 motor.
But you can by all means go turbo or even supercharged if you want.
But as mentioned above do yourself a favour and get yourself "the yellow bible" as mentioned above as that's a really good start.
