Fitting Arches?
#1
Hi Guys, can anyone recommend a panelbeater who has undertaken the Sportspack arch fit? Don't fancy the learning curve! Fitting rear means cutting double skin bodywork, front single skin

You don't need to cut the rear  only the front arch by about 25mm. You will need to either bend a lip on the cut area or tig a stiffner piece or as I did to pop rivet the lip piece back into the arch to give good rigidity.

There are templates available online for cutting the front arches.

Yes the templates from mini spares work well as tey give the hole centres for the fitting bolts. Remember if you intend spraying the arches to u8se the correct prepand spray paint as the plastic is different to metal. Also those supplied beading strips that came with the arches are rubbish, get some decent ones from Rubber Products and moulding or sinilar place locally, I would also use nylock nuts to fix the arches on.
